2013 National Walling Competition
The 9th Annual National Walling Competition was held on Saturday, November 2nd at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill in Mercer County, Kentucky. In spite of the late time of year, the weather cooperated, temperatures in the 40's and 50's, with rain holding off until the very end of the day.
Thank you to the 22 competitors, representing the states of KY, TN, OH, MN, NC and NM, who gave us a great show highlighting their skills while taking down and rebuilding almost 150 LF of rock fence in just 8 hours!
Thank you to our judges for a difficult job, well done!
Professional Classes: Neil Rippingale (Scotland, Kentucky) and Chris Tanguay (Maine). Novice and Amateur Classes: James Miles (Kentucky).
And a very special thank you goes out to our event partners, sponsors and volunteers; we couldn’t do it without you!
