11 Mar 2010 – It’s been standing for over 4 years now and is getting close to collapsing! Except for the stones stacked next the arched wall nothing was done to this section of the wall. If you look closely, you can see the stones at the top of the arch are slowly giving into the force of gravity.

01 Dec 2006. And it's still standing. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens to the arch after the frost and thaw.

04 Jun 2006 - I decided to go back to the practice wall for this little test. I wanted to see if I could actually build an Arch. I built this last weekend and to my surprise it's still standing today! Ugly? Yes!!!!

04 Jun 2006 - I used an old hollowed out tree trunk about 3 feet long for the pattern. I was very surprised that it didn't fall after I removed the pattern! I wasn't going for beauty or perfection. I wanted to get a better understanding of the principles involved.

14 Jan 2009 - This thing is still standing and I put it up on the 8th of Jan 2008. If you closely you can see the arch that I built on the 4th of Jun 2006. I'm still waiting for it to fall down because it wasn't built very well in the first place. I'd like to use the stone elsewhere but I just can't get myself to tear it down.

29 Nov 2006. I decided to make a small pillar. I want to use this as the base for a bird bath. I spent about an hour on this and then decided I need to select my stone a little better. I guess I need to knock it down and start over, but not today!

01 Dec 2006. Looks like today is a bad day to work on this too. Just think two days ago it was 70 degrees out and today it’s 20!
