As you can plainly see this retaining wall getting close to the point of falling.

The homeowner told me this wall was built about seven years ago. Obviously little care was taken to build it correctly.

Not a single stone was placed with its length into the wall.

The wall was dismantled and the reconstruction is in its early stages.

After a couple days of rain I returned to the job site to find the soil the old wall was retaining had fallen. If you look closely at the foundation stones on the left side of the wall you can see the soil and vegetation that used to be on the top of the bank.

My "calling card" if you will, which will be hidden somewhere in this wall.

Some nice large stones that need to be part of the wall still remain.

In the foreground you can see the hand truck which I use to move many of the larger stones around. It's a handy tool to have on the job site when working alone as I do.

This retaining wall is just about done.
