Spring 2018 Workshop Schedule!!!

It is that time again!  We have a busy season planned and can’t wait for the weather to break.

Our Workshops this Spring are ready to rock!  You can pay here on our website or mail in a check.  We need registration forms as well (Page 4 of the document below).  We hope to see you guys on the wall!

March 24 – Saturday – One-day Stone Dressing Clinic at Shaker Village – taught by Master Craftsman, Neil Rippingale (SOLD OUT-waitlist open)

March 25 – Sunday – One-day Stone Dressing Clinic at Shaker Village – taught by Master Craftsman, Neil Rippingale – (SOLD OUT-waitlist open)

April 6-7 – Friday & Saturday – Two-day Corners Workshop – Learn techniques to build and incorporate dry stone corners

April 14-15 – Saturday & Sunday – Two-day Introductory Workshop – Learn the basics of dry stone masonry (SOLD OUT-waitlist open)

April 20-21 – Friday & Saturday – Two-day Edge Fence Workshop – Learn how to build a dry stone edge fence

Results from the 2017 Robert M. Brewer National Dry Stone Walling Competition…

Congratulations to all of the winners and participants.  This year we had 23 competitors from 8 states rebuild 140 feet of rock fence in eight hours!

Fall 2017 Workshop and Certification Schedule

This fall the Dry Stone Conservancy will host two introductory workshops as well as one advanced level workshop and certifications for all levels.

Introductory Workshop – September 23-24 (Sat-Sun) : Fayette Co., KY – In this introductory level workshop participants will learn about historic rock fence restoration along a classic Kentucky thoroughfare.  More information about registration and payment can be accessed by clicking here.

Introductory Workshop – October 6-7 (Fri-Sat) : Fayette Co., KY – In this introductory level workshop participants will learn about historic cemetery wall restoration.  More information about registration and payment can be accessed by clicking here.

Certification Prep Workshop – October 18-19 (Wed-Thu) : Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill – This advanced level workshop is intended for those wishing to pursue DSC certification.  The workshop will be led by DSC Master Craftsman, Neil Rippingale.  More information about registration and payment can be accessed by clicking here.
